Hidden feelings... And Snacks~

Kain walked along the streets. He had worked earlier in the day and now it was nearing sundown. Clouds hung low in the sky threatening to rain. Kain would have liked nothing more then for the bottom to fall out but instead he watched the lightening sparking on the clouds in the distance. The wind blew against him sending a small shiver through him. He enjoyed this feeling. It made him smile a little as his hair danced around him. He gave a sigh at peace for the moment, and all he could do now was think. He thought about something that happened not to long ago... in fact it has been on his mind quite often since it happened. It wasn't like him to think about something like this for so long. Usually he would just brush it off and keep going. He was Kain after all.

He paused; he was outside of Orion's work place. A little general store. Interesting he was able to remember that huh? He stood outside for a bit staring in through the window at the workers. Taking in a deep breath he walked in, putting on his usual cocky attitude mixed with his kid in a candy store approach as he snatched up snack after snack soon filling his arms with goods to buy.

'Beep. Beep. Beep. '
The sound was about to drive Orion crazy, they had been working since early this morning and for some odd reason it had been rather busy today. They glanced out of the window before looking at their watch, it was about time they left now. And just as they were thinking of that someone walked up to them and switched places with them at the register. Orion happily skipped into the staff-room, ignoring the dinging of the bell when another customer came into the shop.
They stayed in the staff-room for only a short while as they signed themselves out and put on their coat and grabbed their bag which had some things like their wallet, extra t-shirts and a small knife if they'd ever need it to cut open boxes in work.

They had been a bit distracted these past days, mostly over things concerning Kain... Their last encounter was rather odd, they felt that they had crossed so many lines and there was no turning back now. Sighing they stepped out of the staff-room, about to head out to check if they'd see Kain around anywhere, since they had agreed to meet today. But there he was, of course with his hands full of snacks and that usual smug expression on his face. Taking a deep breath they approached him.

"Hello Kain, I see you are hungry"

Like always they spoke in a calm and happy tone, they shoved their hands into the pockets of their coat as they inspected the things he was about to buy. They tilted their head slightly to the side and looked up at him, deciding to wait for him to pay for his goods.

Kain chuckled and he seemed to brighten up a bit at the sound of Orion's voice. He tried to keep up his usual appearance around the other-the teasing and confident smile. He walked by them as he headed for the register, grabbing more things he wanted to try as he went. Though he paused for a second next to Orion, whispering lowly but alluringly into their ear.

"I am a bit... but there are other things that I might enjoy eating better.~"

His eyes gazed over them head to toe as he went on his way. He heaved a sigh of relief that he was able to say that oh so Kain-like thing to say. His heart was beating fast in his chest, the feeling was still a bit strange to him. He placed all of his things on the counter as he reached for his wallet.

Orion watched him walk closer, watching him carefully they chuckled softly but rolled their eyes at the same time when he said that sentence.

" Of course, you are the almighty Kain, the horn-dog "

They though blushed when the memories came pouring into their mind again, fidgeting slightly they followed him to the register.

"w-well what is the plan? "

They asked as they folded their arms over their chest while looking at him, unsure how they should feel right at that moment. They heart was beating so hard and fast they swore they could hear it themselves. They stepped around him so that they were at the end of the table, grabbing a bag and starting to place the snacks into it so that they could leave faster, for some reason they felt eager to get out of there and spend some time with Kain, though another part of them felt a little bit of dread and fear... how would he treat them now? They smiled at their co-worker as they placed the food into the plastic bag that they were offering.

Kain tilted his head as he looked at Orion. That smile he wore only growing brighter and more teasing though on the inside he felt like his heart was going to burst from pounding so hard.

"Oh stuttering are we?~"

A chuckle shook through him, his legs almost came out from under him but he quickly recovered, shuffling his feet some to make sure they were secure.

"Well I figured that would be played by ear." He stared into their eyes as he leaned towards Orion. "How comfortable is the roof of this building?"

If one looked closely they could see the hand that reached for his wallet was trembling. He worked hard to fight it but there was little signals of his excitement and dare he say nervousness of being with the other.

"Of course you'd know what stuttering is, so hush."

Cursing isn't something Orion does, they think it's a horrible habit to get. But if they actually DID curse, they would have said something along the lines of 'Kain you dumb motherfucker shut the fuck up I swear I will rip your ass open'. Luckily enough Orion is all bark and no bite when it comes to threats like this towards their friends. But they thought back to how much of a stuttering mess Kain had been a couple of nights ago, it made them smile a little.

"I dont know, I suppose it's comfortable enough. Sadly I dont have the same fondness as you do towards bad weather"

Orion looked through the glass to check on the weather, well, it wasn't too bad.They finished putting the food into the bag and picked it up, holding it in their right hand, they weren't paying attention to Kain right at that moment.

Kain paid for all of it, putting his change into his pockets as well as putting his wallet away. He then went up to Orion whispering more into their ear allowing his breath to hit them.

"Don't mind the weather... I'll be there to keep you warm and shield you."

He lightly stroked their chin, allowing his hand to slid down them but right when you think he is going to do something inappropriate he simply just takes the bag from them.

"I just thought it would be a nice place to relax while we ate these snacks and everything. But If you would rather not we can go somewhere else."

He said this aloud not minding if that one was heard. Maybe my place again? He thought and a blush almost filled his face, which is a rare occurrence... usually. He gulped and tried to push the thoughts away, able to remember it rather vividly actually despite how bad his memory is. Holding the bag tightly with a tremulous hand he waited for Orion to answer or maybe suggest something.

Orion sucks in a deep breath when he go this close to them, freezing up as he stroke their chin. They blinked and suddenly the bag was gone from their hand. THey clenched their fists as they looked down at their feet and then back up at him, unsure if they were blushing or not.

"I would be fine, but thank you for you concern, Kain."

They run their hand through their bangs and start heading towards the door, glancing behind them at their co-worker who gave them a smug grin and a thumbs up, Orion chuckled and walked out. Turning to Kain they shrugged their shoulders, holding up their hands to check for any rain.

"the weather is acceptable, we can go to the roof, perhaps find shelter if the weather gets bad."

They nodded to themselves as they shoved their hands back into their pockets. It was still rather windy, but they could handle this type of weather. They looked up at the sky, the sky had gotten dark quickly and they could see some stars between the clouds that danced around the sky following the sunset.

Almost like a puppy Kain strode along beside them, happy that they agreed to sitting on the roof. If he was in night form right now, his tail would be wagging with glee.

"Good how would you like to get up there then?~"

He gave a glance at the building and then up at the sky. Yeah he loved rain but the stars were really nice too. At least he had the wind. Though what did the weather really matter with the company that he has.

"Who know's we might can do some star gazing tonight too, perfect romantic atmosphere."

"ah. Well hmmm"

Orion rubbed the back of their head as they looked up at the roof before they looked around for an alley way.

" We can always... fly. If we are sneaky, then nobody will see us perhaps."

They nodded to themselves as they continued to look around, instinctively reaching out their hand and tugging Kain's sleeve slightly as they laughed a little. They started pulling him in the direction of the closest alley so that they could quickly change, just for a few seconds perhaps.

"I didn't think you were the romantic type "

"Doll... you'll learn there are many sides to me... Romance is one of them. Some women you have to wine and dine before you can get in their pants so it is a skill I have been working to develop... Or had developed at one point for that reason?"

Kain fallowed along with them without much coxing. Just a moment of turning would do, something he was used to when getting from roof top to roof top some times when he didn't feel like being in his night form the whole time. He walked close to them, finding every now and again he was walking closer to them then he was the second before as if he was drawn to them like a magnet.
