What a night!

Orion woke up that morning in bliss, the night before had just been dreadful! and for once it wasn't the war... it wasn't an angel bashing a demon into a building or even a demon screaming up at how unfair it was that all angels could fly, no... it was the weather, mother nature had turned on the city that night and the wind had decided to punish the poor defenseless bikes, trashcans and other things that were laying out on the street, the rain hadn't been any better either... and Orion didn't even want to think about the thunder that had roared the sky, as if it was trying to express it's displeasure with the war.
Orion got dressed and left their apartment, they held a large trashcan in one of their hand and looked out on the street... well look at that, trash was everywhere after the trashcans outside had been tossed around by the dreaded wind.
Orion took a deep breath and looked up at the sky, it was still a bit cloudy, but the weather was warm now and the sun would sometimes peak from behind the clouds, as if to see what everybody would do with the mess, without being noticed.
Well, since today was their day off, Orion decided that cleaning up the trash from the streets would just be delightful!

Iivari peeked out the window to asses the damage on Green Falls from lat night's storm. No building seemed to be damaged but trash was everywhere. He sighed. He couldn't just let all that trash lie there outside. It was time to start cleaning up. He grabbed a big trash can and a pair of plastic gloves. He descended from his flat down into the Library. He had always loved how convenient it was. Whenever he wanted a book there was a whole library downstairs. It was like a part of his house. Well, one that random strangers wandered into and took stuff from. The library was closed today so no one was there. It was his day off. He took the bag outside and almost smiled. The weather was wonderful. He had often wished to fly in this weather an enjoy the sunshine above the clouds but to transform into his angel form in the day time was suicide. He would be spotted for sure. At least he could spend the day outside helping clean up the streets. The humans would surely be too lazy to do anything.

Oh wow!~ What a night. Now that was the kind of weather Kain liked not none of that hot muggy shit. Ah the feel of the harsh wind in his hair. The touch of the Rain on his skin. The lighting striking around him. The sound of thunder was amazing. He had stayed out in it all night on a random roof top. He spent most of it in his demon form playing in the rain and wind, batting his wings against it and sending out his own electrical sparks. Then when he went to sleep he transformed right back to his day form curled up on the roof top letting the rain wash over him.
So now here he was walking back home, soaked still from head to toe. He let his hair hang loose over his shoulders, it sticking to him a bit. His shirt was wide open clinging to his sides and back instead of bouncing about as he walked. His pants were the same making it obvious he held something in his pocket. The necklace that he so clings to like a dragon with its treasure. He had taken it off when he woke up and stashed it as best he could in his pocket.
He was just so happy now as he made his way down Orion's street, kicking at trash that was in his way, watching it fly and hopping over falling objects.

As Iivari gradually made his way through the streets picking up trash he saw Kain and he groaned. He was kicking trash everywhere and generally making an ass of himself. Iivari was in no way surprised. He was completely soaked like he had been up all night running around like an idiot. He would probably get sick. That would be nice. Iivari continues to pick up trash hoping Kain would leave him alone.

Orion had started to hum softly while they picked up the trash and threw it into the large bag they held. They continued to look down, picking up a few pieced of glass, they bent down and started to focus on not getting cut when suddenly. Wham. A can flew past them, Orion was so startled that they clenched their fists and the glass sunk into their skin.
"ouch!"
Orion looked up and noticed a kain.
"KAIN!"
They growled, this was the second time that they were picking up grass and he suddenly popped up and startled them. They held back the tears threatening to form because of the pain in their thumb as they dropped the piece of class down. They noticed Iivari there and tried to wave at him, but then they attention returned to the troublemaker, Kain.
" We're trying to clean up here! ... and why are you so wet! get yourself a towel.."
their voice softened up the longer they talked and they sighed deeply.
"hey Iivari!"
they called cheerfully over to their friend, it was quite odd how easily they could make themselves happy again, even though they had a bleeding thumb now.

Kain immediately snapped to at the sound of Orion scolding him. He gulped, he didn't mean to upset them. Yeah he fears their wrath. He was terrified of what Orion could do to him if they really wanted to considering... they had all reasons. He saw the blood dripping from their thumb and went over to them.
"I'm wet because I stayed out all night in the rain... It'll be fine..."
He whispered that to them as he took their hand and gently raised it to his lips kissing the wound gently. One might think he was just toying with Orion. Hell that's what he would want them to think. But this was actually him being genuinely nice to the other. He twitched at Orion greeting the purple hair male but chose to ignore it, tending more to their thumb.

Orion had continued to look over at Iivari, waiting for him to reply but soon sighed and looked at Kain. They allowed him to kiss the wound while they pouted slightly, still a bit unhappy with this, it also made them unhappy that he wasn't going to get a towel. They were a bit surprised at the kiss... it did send some questions into their head, was Kain messing with them or being genuine? They took a deep breath as they rolled the questions around in his head, but in the end deciding that they weren't going to assume anything and pretend like he didn't kiss their wound.
"you will get sick if you don't dry yourself off"
They said in a concerned voice.
"And if you get sick you can't fight, you'll be an easy target unless you stay indoors all the time, in which someone might need to take care of you if you get very sick."
Orion tried to ignore the wound on their thumb that was still bleeding, they looked down at their black bag and then again at all the trash on the street.
"I need to continue cleaning this up..."

He puffed out a cheek at all the statements. He didn't want to dry off. It felt good being soaked, but the other had a point he didn't need to be getting sick.
"Fiinnne... Do you have a towel I can use.. and Maybe... some dry pants that I can fit?"
He asked with a sigh running a hand through his hair. He happened to glance towards Iivari, glaring a bit at the other male as he continued to chat with Orion.
"It would be much appreciated... You should also put something on that cut. Don't want it getting infected or anything, especially since you're handling trash."

Iivari walked over to Orion when he noticed then. He sees their thumb and reaches into his pocketHello Orion. Need some help? He gently puts the bandage he got from his pocket on their wound and wraps it up. "Please forgive my rudeness, I was very focused on a piece of trash stuck to the sidewalk."He completely ignores Kain like he doesn't even exist. "Please be more careful Orion."

Orion sighed at Kain as they reached into their pocked at took out the key to their apartment, which was conveniently close by.
"you can go into my apartment and check for some towels and pants"
They said gently, but then noticed that Iivary was finally with them and speaking to them. Orion chuckled slightly at what Iivary said but nodded their head while they smiled at him.
"Thank you iivary! I really appreciate it, and I will be! but this isn't the first time I cut myself one a piece of glass~"
They said jokingly and laughed a little.
"But it makes me happy to see that I'm not the only one that decided to try to clean up the streets, the weather last night was indeed horrible."

Iivari nods. "It is a shame our streets were polluted like this but it only allows us to spend the day in the sun making it beautiful. I would be happy to work by your side. The company of a friend would be most welcome."

Kain took the key and snarled lightly at how Iivari was acting with Orion, his hands clenching into fists. He was getting so jealous. He made sure to look away though trying to hide his face. His hair flopped around clinging to his face. Like hell he was going to leave the two of them alone.
"I-I'll help too! Once I change..."
He said before he fully thought about it... what did he just agree to? Fuck... Kain doing physical labor like this? But he already said he would do it. He puffed out a cheek lightly.

Orion nodded at Iivari's word, agreeing completely at what he said. They didn't seem to feel the tension between him and Kain, so when Kain offered to help too they got a bit surprised, but smiled either way.
"Thank you Kain! And yes Iivari, it would be wonderful to clean the streets with you, to actually hang out for once in stead of talking in the library once in a while"
They joked a little and continued to smile at him and Kain, wow they were so happy right now.

Iivari reachs into his bag and pulls out some extra glove. He hands them to Orion. "You should wear these. They should help protect your hands. I'd hate to see you get hurt again." Iivari shoots a look at Kain. Why was HE volunteering to help clean up? He wasn't the type to get his hands dirty, and for something GOOD no less. He certainly didn't want to hang around Iivari. Maybe he felt threatened by him hanging around Orion. They did seem to be together a lot. Whatever. His messed up love life was of no concern to Iivari. But Kain didn't seem to relise that...

"You're welcome Orion. Where is your apartment again?"
He sighed and looked at the apartment key. He focused on it knowing that if he looked up at Iivari it would be with a glare. Kain just gets so jealous, especially over Orion. Orion was his. Maybe he did feel threatened... But more than likely he just didn't want Orion being with someone he didn't like. Not to mention they were being all nice to each other. What if Orion started liking Iivari better? It wasn't so hard to do. Kain was well Kain... and Iivari was being so nice.

Orion accepted the gloves that Iivari offered to them and put them on, they lifted their hands and inspected the gloves a little before giving Iivari another smile.
"thank you Iivari, I really appreciate it!"
They said and looked over at Kain, then pointed at the apartment complex they lived in.
"it's over there, it's apartment 04, got it? 0. 4. don't forget it"
They spoke as if they were speaking to a child, because that was how Orion would look at Kain at time, as a big child that realized what sex was way too soon. Sometimes they felt responsible for Kain, or in the very least they felt responsible for him while he was in their presence, Orion cares about Kain as a friend, even though they wish they didn't.

Iivari tries not to smirk. It was always nice to see Kain taken down a few pegs even if it was unintentional. Iivari nods at Orion. "There's a lot of trash on the next street that will blow away soon if we don't get it. Papers and such. Would you care to join me Orion?"

Next street? He growled and started to run the sooner he finished getting ready the sooner he could get back to being with them especially if they were going to be moving around. He didn't care about how he was spoken to like that. He was used to it. Besides he sometimes needed to be treated like a child. To be scolded as one at least.
"O4 O4 O4 O4"
He kept repeating that over and over the whole time he ran not wanting to forget.

Orion held the trash bag in their hands gently as they looked after Kain, making sure that he wasn't going to enter the wrong apartment complex. They sighed slightly in relief when he did enter the right one and turned to Iivari.
"Certainly! Two will work faster than one"
They answered the man happily, they hoped that Kain would remember where they were, they didn't want him to get lost after he had promised to help them... and he DID have their apartment key.
They began to walk to the direction of the next street, smiling at Iivari as they did so.

Iivari smiled back a bit. He wasn't big on smiling but they were such a nice person he couldn't help but offer up a small smile. "You're always so nice and upbeat Orion. It is nice to spend some time with you again." He really did feel that way. Iivari didn't have too many actual friends. He usually scared people away with his sharp stare and cold demeanor. Orion didn't seem to mind though. They treated him like he was a nice person instead of a loner. It made him feel good about himself- something that rarely happened.

Orion's eyes widened slightly at what Iivari said, taken a bit aback from all these compliments, because even though they have talked to so many people, and sure they have all been very nice to them, none of them have really stopped to compliment them that much, except Cupid, who was pretty much their best friend in their opinion so far.
So they grinned, incredibly happy with those words, it was also relieving to hear that even though Orion was hanging a lot with a rather... unpopular demon like Kain, people could still like them.
"T-thank you, Iivari! It makes me very happy to hear that."
They admitted as they rubbed the back of their head gently while they looked down at the sidewalk they were walking on, feeling slightly shy all of a sudden.
" You're great too! You're incredibly nice and I enjoy speaking with you!"

Iivari seems happy. He didn't seem to relies he was making her a bit uncomfortable. He was just happy to be with a friend. He walks around picking up trash off the ground and talking to Orion. He didn't talk much and did most of the listening but he enjoyed it a lot. He eventually forgot that Kain was coming back any second.

Kain entered the apartment panting only slightly as he started to look around. Eventually he found his way to the bathroom grabbing a towel to start drying off, slowly peeling out of his wet clothes. He didn't know where to put them so he just hung them up over the shower. Maybe they would dry a bit? He of course took the necklace out of his pants pocket. He couldn't just leave it lying around. Sliding it on as he walked around to find some pants or something to wear. Eventually finding some and sliding into them. They were a bit short on him and a little tight but this is a man who likes to wear skinny jeans he will get over it. What was he to do with the necklace though. Orion would hate him if he was to wear it around... and not to mention it might look strange for him to be walking around during the day with an eye around his neck, but these pockets... would not accommodate for something so precious they were too tight on him. So he has no choice but to leave it behind with his drying clothes. He hides it as best he could with his clothes and puts on his shoes, without socks since his was having to dry. He then runs out of the apartment, locking the door behind him and sliding the key into his pocket, running to catch back up with Orion and that guy, Iivari.

Iivari notices Kain coming back and his good mood goes away. Great. Just great. Now he had to deal with this idiot again.
